When we lost our home to a fire, my husbands uncle rebuilt our now home for us. He's a pretty special guy, and put in many hours helping our community through Habitat for Humanity to build homes.
Not only did we have many conversations about Habitat, but I went on to learn even more about Habitat when I had discovered our local ReStore. I would visit often looking for items I could recycle or repurpose that would go into our newly built home. And, the best part is that the proceeds go to a great cause. The cause is to help build homes for the local community. Habitat strives to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make shelter a matter of conscience and action.
This time a group of Bloggers gathered together to help bring a newly built home to life for a family in Connecticut. And, because of my love & connection to Habitat I couldn't say no in being apart of this group effort! What a great way to come full circle!

I was teamed up with a very special friend, Evey from Evey’sCreations to create a sweet guest room. Given the fact that the room is itty bitty we had to work our magic on figuring out best possible solutions for sleeping arrangements. Not an easy task. But, it turned out just gorgeous!!
I had this cute nightstand sitting in my garage & gave it a makeover to match the beautiful linens. It is done in Smokey Mountain Gray by CeCe Caldwell.
This has quickly become one of my favorite CeCe colors.
My husband has never walked into a room after one of my furniture projects has been completed, and made any sort of comment unless I asked for a "what do you think". As soon as he walked in the front door, his first remark before even giving me a hello kiss...wow that's a great color! SCORE!
I wasn't able to make it to the install day when everything was pulled together for the house. We were leaving on vacation, and I missed my girls big time... But, wow oh wow did they hit this out of the ballpark!! I am so proud of what each one did for this family!!
Please be sure to check out all of the amazing posts below to catch a full reveal of how each of the rooms turned out! You won't be sorry.. Here's a sneak peek at what you'll see...

I'd also like to say a very big thank you to Charlotte from Ciburbanity for pulling this all together. She's amazing beyond...and it shows in the love she has for giving without condition!
A very special thanks goes out to some pretty amazing sponsors to help us pull this house together for this family. We are extremely fortunate to have the generosity that poured into this project..
It couldn't have been done without the help of everyone involved! It amazes me every single time I step back & look at what Habitat is doing for families!! ![]() |

Hometalk rocked it with a very generous donation, Wayfair gave a BIG amount in gift cards to help with items being purchased for the home, Connecticut Lighting Centers donated the light fixtures, and RugsUSA donated the rugs throughout the home!

Your little room was a challenge, but it looked SO peaceful and sweet! The little table was the PERFECT size for the space and the color scheme was so cohesive with the rest of the home! Thanks for being involved, girl!! xx
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with your husband, that color was amazing!
