Side Buffet/Dresser in Old Navy by Benjamin Moore - Lynn Fern

Side Buffet/Dresser in Old Navy by Benjamin Moore

I've been loving blue lately.. I do not have a stitch of blue decor in my house, but this side buffet/dresser I did in Old Navy blue by Benjamin Moore about made me redecorate a room just so I could keep it.

On Fern Avenue

I grabbed this sweet dresser or server at an auction a long while ago and my husband thought it'd never leave the garage.

I know I say this a lot that a piece has sat in the garage or basement for months, a year, or even longer.  It's true unfortunately.  I had come across a ton of pieces prior to winter 2014 and I stock piled to get me through.  Little did I realize is that I really stock piled!

A big piece of me wanted to keep this one... Look at the hardware..

But, I just decided it was time to go with what my gut was telling me..

This sweet thing had amazing bones and no real problems.  One long gouge in the top but could easily be sanded.

But.. Old Navy with gold hardware was speaking to me...

I had just completed a dresser for a clients new baby boy that would be making his way into this world soon in this color!  I instantly fell in love!  I will post about that dresser soon because it was so beautiful!

I mean look at those lines and the wave of the front..  Old Navy just fit!!

I updated the hardware and reattached after a good wax and buffing....

Swoon worthy...

I stuck it in my space... And, then I decided to post it in my Etsy shop.  I had it on for a day when I was contacted about shipping out to Georgia.

I was able to find a very reasonable shipping quote which in turn to be what the buyer said... "I was a Godsend".  See the buyer is in the process of redoing the bathroom for her parents (speaks to my heart..), and she had been looking nonstop for 3 months for the right piece.  This made me feel so good knowing this was "meant to be".

I am so excited to know that this has a story and a meaning!!  I can't wait to see the after pictures when it is set up in the renovated bathroom with it's marble top and new hardware (even though I loved this hardware with it)!!!

Even though I truly wanted to keep this piece for myself, it makes my heart smile knowing it has a new happy home and a renewed life!!

Much love, peace & happiness
