I was browsing through the Miss Mustard Seed colors and spied this Boxwood color. Originally I was going to use it on a dresser with a specific set of hardware, but the colors just clashed.
I recently also made over this cute little dresser in the Boxwood as well.
The top was pretty roughed up...
I forgot to get pictures before I took it to my shop, and I couldn't get any decent ones...
That night I went to bed. and then the light-bulb went off. That happens often...just as I am falling asleep the bright idea lights up my mind, and then I'm awake for hours thinking about what it's going to look like.
I purchased this lovely fabric a while back. I just picked up a couple of yards, it was on sale, and I liked all of the colors.
This dresser I picked up at an auction. It had a bamboo looking drawer, but it was flat not round. I wasn't a fan for sure. But, it had great bones and is on the original caster wheels.
I picked out these really cool knobs from D. Lawless Hardware. I knew I wanted to do something fun with them...
Are you seeing where I am going?
I painted the dresser in boxwood green.
As the paint was drying I attached the fabric to the drawers using Mod Podge.
I also painted the sides with a cute little design. And, one of my favorites is when you open the drawers the inside is painted in Benjamin Moore's 2015 Color of the Year Guilford Green.
I waxed the dresser with clear wax...
And...she is done...
I think she is fun and brings a nice touch with those knobs/pulls from D. Lawless on that funky and fun fabric.
Much love, peace & happiness ~
The FTC wants to make sure I let you know that D. Lawless provided the knobs to me. All opinions are my own, honest & accurately!
